Alex Bayer

Alexandra (Alex) Bayer is a senior at Durham Academy, where she plays varsity tennis on the two-time North Carolina state championship team. She has a tremendous amount of experience organizing and working with children who have varying disabilities. Alex volunteers with many programs including the Special Olympics at Durham Academy and she tutors special needs children at a local elementary school in Durham. She started volunteering for ACEing Autism four years ago in order to share her passion for tennis with others in her community. In addition, Alex hopes that through the clinics, the children will develop a love for being outdoors, working together, and learning the fundamentals of one of her favorite sports!
