Program Directors – Phoenix, AZ
Elana and Chadwick Campbell are the Program Directors for ACEing Autism Phoenix. They launched the program in 2017 after meeting Richard Spurling at a USTA Pro Circuit tournament in Arizona. They had been looking for years to find a sports program for their son, Euan, and given that their older daughters were performance junior tennis players, ACEing Autism was a natural fit for the family.
Elana is from Manchester, England, and moved to the US after she and Chad were married. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Manchester, and a Master of Education from the University of Southern California. Currently the Upper School Dean at a charter school in Scottsdale, Elana has taught across the spectrum of educational environments, and consults families on special needs education issues. She is working to complete her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) qualification.
Chad is a native Phoenician. He is a Senior Counsel at Thomas Title & Escrow, a commercial title and escrow agency in Scottsdale. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona, and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. After college, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft maintenance officer, which included combat duty with a squadron of F-15E fighter jets. In 2012, he and Elana started IJP Tennis, a high-performance junior tennis program, which serves as the platform for the ACEing Autism program.
