Karen Schaffner

Karen Schaffner was a full time PTR instructor and tennis director at tennis clubs in Florida and New Mexico teaching all ages and skill levels until 2015. As of Fall of 2015 she has worked in Adapted Physical Education and started teaching students with various disabilities in the Public School District. During the tennis unit, she was very excited to see her students with autism motivated to learn the game of tennis. When researching ACEing Autism, she knew it was a perfect match for her students to have fun while enhancing their health and fitness, hand-eye coordination, motor development, and social skills outside of the school day. She loves teaching and advocating for individuals with Autism is her passion.
