TEMPE, Ariz. – The tennis program as earned the ITA Community Service Award for their excellence in community service.
The 22 players on both the men’s and women’s team volunteered a total of 731 hours of community service time. The team participated in numerous events such as organizing inner city tennis clinics and participating in the nationally renowned ACEing Autism.
On campus, the squad help with freshman move in, the annual Bone Marrow Registry and National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
Outside of tennis, they created a hurricane victim fundraiser, participated in neighborhood clean-up and beautification projects.
