Let the games begin!

Aberdeen Golf and Country Club in suburban Boynton Beach is hosting a torch-lighting ceremony on Sunday to mark the beginning of their three-week long series of events that will benefit ACEing Autism.

ACEing Autism was founded by Richard Spurling and Dr. Shafali Jeste in Boston in 2008. It serves more than 500 children on the autism spectrum with tennis programs tailored to the individual needs of each child, according to a news release.

Money from participant fees and contributions at the event will go to the organization, according to the release.

The ceremony is at 3:30 p.m.

The events include several contests such as golf, tennis, trivia, pool events, card games, a spelling bee and more.
