Winter 2017 Newsletter – ACEing Autism

ACEing Autism is proud to announce the addition of several 2017 launches at the following locations: Scottsdale, AZ; Syracuse, NY; Naples, FL; Costa Mesa, Ca; and Providence, RI. As we continue to grow, we’d like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who keeps our mission alive with your hard work and dedication to our organization. Stay tuned for 2017 launches in Winston-Salem, NC; Carlsbad, CA; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Baltimore, MD; Palm Springs, CA; and Williamsburg, VA. Our Miami Open clinic will be held on March 29th at 5pm.

ATP Clinics

We are thrilled to be able to offer free clinics in conjunction with professional tennis tournaments thanks to ATP and WTA level partnerships that support our mission! Charlotte Fundraiser – Queen City Brewers Festival

On Feb. 4 our Charlotte program held its annual winter fundraiser, Queen City Brewers Festival, at The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. QCBF brings together the Charlotte area’s breweries, artisan restaurants, local artists and sponsors to support our mission to serve more families in the Charlotte community affected by autism. In total, over 2,000 attendees and event staff enjoyed two tasting sessions raising just over $50,000 to help us expand program locations, train more volunteers, offer special events and produce this year’s Racquet Run. Cheers to all who attended!

Parent and Volunteer essay contest

ACEing Autism loves great news! The families, children, and communities we serve are important to us and we’d love to hear about your experiences. Please consider entering our parent and volunteer essay contest for a chance to join us in New York for at the 2017 US OPEN. Please submit all entries to jasmine@aceingautism.org along with a headshot and t-shirt size.

Get sponsored, grab your running shoes, and get your racquet ready, the inaugural ACEing Autism Racquet Run is coming up April 2017! During Autism Awareness Month, participating locations nationwide will host their own Racquet Run to promote autism awareness and community engagement while raising the funds needed to sustain ACEing Autism’s programs at a low cost to participating families.

To fundraise for us visit www.justgiving.com/aceing-autism and start your own campaign! Teams of 4+ individuals who fundraise for ACEing Autism via Just Giving will receive FREE entry into the races. Entry otherwise is $20 per person.

Tennis with the stars – ACEIng Autism is honored to be the beneficiary of the 2017 tennis with the stars event on March 7^th at the Omni Racho Las Palmas Resort. The stars list includes Genie Bouchard, Madison Keys, Taylor Fritz as well as others that you won’t want to miss. SPIN Table Tennis Tournament – Join us for a fun-filled night of table tennis, autism talk, and networking at the Standard Hotel’s SPIN. This event will serve as a kick-off to our observation of Autism Awareness Month and will be an evening dedicated to the promotion of our Racquet Run 5k fundraiser. Volunteer Highlight

This month ACEing Autism recognizes Mountain Gate’s very own, Alex Perelman for her outstanding dedication as a volunteer coordinator and volunteer within the program. Her exceptional coaching and leadership qualities play an integral part in the success of the program each week and we are grateful for her investment in our mission! Thank you, Alex!
