Richard Spurling Interviews Asher Major

Founder and Executive Director Richard Spurling chats with former ACEing Autism participant Asher Major, who now attends the Anderson Center for Autism.

During their conversation, Richard Spurling asked Asher if they met through tennis which Asher quickly answered: “I wasn’t good at first and then I got.. I never gave up, and then I got better and better and now I’m better than ever, a pro, I guess I’m smarter than you,” he laughed as he put his head and arms up. Richard then continued: “You are a pro, you had me sweating a lot yesterday.”

That’s right, during a casual hit, Asher and Richard went head to head with the 21-year-old hitting hard forehands and some flat backhand winners.

Watch this incredible interview as they look back at his time with ACEing Autism, some special memories with tennis professionals, and how he is now helping bring ACEing Autism to his school. They also talk about Asher is now helping teach tennis to the students.
