Program Director
Neil Chandran
Neil Chandran is a senior at Monte Vista High School in Danville. He has been a part of the ACEing Autism team for over three years and initially helped coach tennis in the Los Altos program. Through teaching, Neil saw firsthand the improvements in the kids’ hand-eye coordination, social skills and confidence level and what a difference it made to the parents to have one-on-one support for their children. Seeing the limited number of athletic programs available for neurodiverse kids in his own community, he was inspired to start the Danville program as Program Director in 2022. He has also been helping other high school students in the East Bay start their own ACEing Autism clinics and is excited to see the program grow and continue to make a positive impact.
Neil has competed in USTA tennis tournaments since he was 11 years old. As a freshman, Neil played line one for his school’s junior varsity tennis team, where he was also co-captain. He is currently on his school’s varsity tennis team. Neil also enjoys playing the classical Spanish guitar and competes on his speech and debate team.
Program Director
Rishal Melvani
Rishal Melvani is a junior at Monte Vista High School in Danville. He fell in love with tennis as a young kid, especially since he’s been lucky enough to live right across the street from his community’s courts. He’s been playing competitively for six years, and for two years has played the #3 spot for his school’s varsity team.
Rishal started coaching with ACEing Autism in Danville his freshman year, and has worked with a variety of students from all sorts of backgrounds. He has been truly inspired by witnessing their progress in their social and physical abilities, many of whom have found a new passion through ACEing Autism. The best part for him is seeing the smiles on his students’ faces, and he can’t wait to see and spread even more in the future.
Program Director
Dylan Chandran
