Program Director
Heather Tucker
Heather started playing tennis in 1997 when she first moved to Seattle. She fell in love with the game instantly. Over the years, she has played on many USTA teams, two of which made it to the finals at USTA Nationals.
In 2004 she was certified to teach wheelchair tennis. Her youngest son was wheelchair bound, and she wanted to share her love of the game with him.
In 2024, she was approached by ACEing Autism Palm Desert to be a volunteer. She immediately said yes, as her granddaughter, Sloane, is autistic. She was excited to meet and help other neurodivergent kids participate in an inclusive tennis program. Heather also has over 20 years experience working with special needs children. She was later asked to serve as the assistant program director of ACEing Palm Desert. She loves working with these amazing athletes alongside Program Director Coach Christy Sherley.
