ACEing Autism strives to keep costs affordable for families and can provide an ACEing Autism scholarship to families in financial need. We also offer information on the Dick’s Sporting Goods Grant for those that qualify.

Program Director

Malcolm Ginwalla

Malcolm is a rising Junior at Palo Alto High School. He loves playing sports, and he has played competitive tennis, basketball, football, and soccer. He enjoys playing music, and he has played the piano and violin for over seven years, several of which he has also played in the Golden State Youth orchestra. Malcolm is also an avid public speaker, and participates in the Speech and Debate program at his school, competing in the Extemporaneous event. He was a counselor at the Speech and Debate summer Palo Alto camp, and a tennis instructor for young kids. He is the founder and Program Director of the ACEing Autism program in Palo Alto where he works with children with autism to help them improve their motor and social skills by introducing them to the game of tennis. He is very interested in neurodiversity and passionate about helping individuals with disabilities.

Mahazarin Ginwalla

Dr. Mahazarin Ginwalla is a board-certified advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and works at Palo Alto Medical Foundation/Sutter Health in Burlingame, California. She completed her medical school in India and subsequently her Master’s in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Internal Medicine Residency at Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Cardiology Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland OH, and advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. She was Associate Professor and Medical Director of Heart Failure at Case Western Reserve University prior to commencing her current position in Burlingame, CA in 2020. 
 
Dr. Ginwalla is actively involved in clinical activities, research, and education. Her research has been published widely in leading journals in her field including the Journal of American College of Cardiology, Circulation, and Journal of Heart & Lung Transplantation. She has been invited to be a chair, panelist and speaker at numerous regional, national and international conferences, organized heart failure workshops, and written several book chapters. She has participated in national and international trials as the principal site investigator. Dr. Ginwalla was elected to serve on the Board of the Ohio-American College of Cardiology. She has been previously recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors, Best Doctors by Cleveland Magazine, American Health Council’s “Best in Medicine” and “Best Doctors in America®.”
 
She loves to spend time with her family including her husband and 2 children, and enjoys traveling, cooking, and participating in outdoor activities.
