Program Director - Weekend Program

Cassie Special

Cassie played tennis for both her High School and College teams, and still currently plays recreationally at the Southtowns Club. Cassie currently oversees Respite Programming for children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at People Inc. full time and holds part time jobs as a Direct Support Professional at Heritage Christian Services, ARC of Allegany Steuben, and Cradle Beach Camp. Cassie also volunteers at the Special Olympics as the Head Coach of a Training Club in the Southtowns. Cassie has been working in the field since 2018 and found her ultimate joy was introducing sports to this community and watching her athletes grow as individuals while having fun. Cassie volunteers at the Village Glen Buffalo ACEing Autism Program and also started her own school-based ACEing Autism Program with the help of the Village Glen ACEing Autism Director, Kathy Connelly. Cassie’s experience and determination to do more and serve more has led her to start up the Southtowns Buffalo ACEing Autism program. Cassie can’t wait to see everyone out on the court! Go Bills!!!

Program Director - Weekday Program

Cori Greenawalt

Hello, allow me to introduce myself as the Program Director for the new ACEing Autism Buffalo Southtowns Weekday program! I have been a volunteer with ACEing Autism since it’s debut in the Buffalo area. I am super excited to take my love of tennis, coaching experiences, and educational background to the courts! Tennis has played a major part in my life. I grew up playing at a recreational level and was able to take my skills to the Division 1 Program at Canisius University. I spent nearly 20 years teaching Elementary School in the area. I currently play USTA women’s tennis and am a huge supporter of the Niagara University Tennis program, where I cheer on my daughter. I also volunteer with Catholic Health Foundations, Paws for Love SPCA Program, and around town with my Therapy Dog, Lulu. But my greatest achievement to date is raising two amazing teenage kids!
